With changes to the chassis structure and a range of modern equipment, the model offers a selection of the most impressive classic motorcycles on the market today.

Yamaha has recently released an update for the XSR900, the 2022 version has some new changes to give the bike a more Sport Heritage character.

Specifically, the XSR900 2022, although retains the DNA of its predecessor, but instead of the aluminum alloy frame, the bike has used a new Yamaha Deltabox frame, which is both compact and increases the dynamics, which is more beneficial to the speed of the bike. Along with that, the steering wheel has been lowered by 30mm to help bring a wider steering angle and create a sportier driving posture. The motorbike uses a 3.5-inch TFT-LCD clock instead of the old LCD screen, has 4 different driving modes for users to choose from, and the bike is also equipped with a 6-axis IMU system from R1. XSR900 still uses round headlights, split front turn signals, rear lights, and rear turn signals remain unchanged, all using modern LED technology. The rear is made thicker in the seat of the back seat, which helps to create comfort for the accompanying passengers.

The wheelbase of the XSR900 2022 is 1495mm, an increase of 55mm compared to its predecessor. This is mainly due to the lengthening of the swingarm on the bike, which Yamaha says not only makes the bike look sportier, but also reduces the free rotation by 14%, making it safer. Along with that, the XSR900 2022 is equipped with a new set of rims that are 700 grams lighter than its predecessor, which both increases the efficiency of the shock absorber and helps reduce 11% of the situation of free rotation when the bike is cornering or emergency brake. The overall weight of the XSR900 2022 is 193kg, 2kg lighter than its predecessor.

The Yamaha XSR900 2022 is also improved in the braking system with the use of dual 298mm diameter disc brakes for the front with 4-piston calipers from Brembo behind and a single 245mm diameter disc brake. All have the support of anti-lock braking system ABS. This classic model is also equipped with a 41mm upside-down front fork from the KYB house, the rear is still a multi-level adjustable single swing arm also from the KYB brand.

In terms of power, the XSR900 2022 uses a Yamaha Crossplane 3 engine block with a cylinder capacity of 889cc, DOHC type. This engine block produces a maximum capacity of 117 horsepower at 10000 rpm and maximum torque of 93 Nm at 7000 rpm. The bike is also equipped with a new YCC-T fuel injection system, TCI ignition system, and transmission by a 6-speed gearbox with Assist & Slipper Clutch system.

In the European market, the XSR900 2022 will have 2 new color options: Legend Blue with gold-painted front forks and Midnight Black. The selling price starts at 9499 USD – equivalent to 222 million VND.
