Wrapping up fiscal year 2022, motorcycle sales of Honda Vietnam decreased by 2.7% compared to the same period last year.

Honda Vietnam (HVN) has just announced its business results in March 2022 and recorded significant growth. Specifically, HVN sold a total of 180,853 motorcycles of all kinds in March, up by 23.4% compared to February and 20.5% over the same period last year.

As in previous months, Honda Vision continues to be HVN’s best-selling model with 46,667 units, accounting for 25.8% of total motorcycle sales in March of the Japanese brand. This sales means that every day, HVN will sell about 1,505 visions to the market, an impressive number for the affordable scooter model, dubbed the new national scooter to replace Honda Lead.

Besides Honda Vision, the clutch model Honda Wave Alpha continued to record good sales with 28,820 units, accounting for 15.9% of HVN’s total sales in March. With the Winner X, the sales of this manual clutch model in March reached 11,279 units, increasing again after the slow sale in February.

By the end of March, the fiscal year 2022 of Honda Vietnam ended with motorcycle sales at 2,052,007 units, downed by 2.7% over the same period last year. The decrease in sales growth of Honda Vietnam in the last fiscal year 2022 was mainly due to the impact of Covid-19 on the manufacturing industry as well as on the customer side.

Furthermore, the pandemic even caused the price of some Honda products to increase due to increased production cost of raw materials. Specifically, since the beginning of April, the price of 24 Honda motorcycle models has been adjusted. Some decreased slightly, while some models increased by 3 million VND.

In addition, the prices of some models at dealers such as Future and SH have also been significantly increased due to the lack of available units and high market demand. In particular, Honda Future is currently about 10 million VND higher than the listed price, and the high-end scooter model SH is increased by 20 million VND.
