Honda ADV 160 is a new generation of the Honda ADV 150 model with an upgraded 4-valve engine that offers stronger performance.
After a Honda distributor in Indonesia posted a short video introducing the new scooter model, which is expected to be the new generation of Honda ADV 150, Honda has officially confirmed the information about their new model.
The proof is that Astra Honda has issued invitations to the press conference to launch new products to the media and influential figures in the two-wheeler industry in the Indonesian market. Accordingly, the launch event of Honda’s new scooter model is expected to take place on July 1.
According to previously posted information, Honda’s latest model about to be launched is the ADV 160. This is a new generation and an upgrade of the Honda ADV 150 small terrain scooter. Expectedly, Honda ADV 160 will have some design improvements compared to Honda ADV 150, it is likely that the car will inherit the design style from the ADV 350 that was just launched last year in Europe.
If the above information is true, the new Honda ADV 160 will have a more muscular and sharper body thanks to the shell system composing of many embossed details, creating an eye-catching appearance. However, the overall bike still has the same off-road scooter design as the Honda X-ADV 750.
Its equipment is still quite typical with a windshield, LED lighting system, Smart Key, and ABS. The main upgrade on this Honda ADV 160 is the all-new eSP+ 4-valve engine block currently being equipped on some models such as PCX 160, Vario 160 and most recently, Air Blade 160 in Vietnam.
On the Air Blade 160, this engine has a single-cylinder, 4-valve, 157cc, liquid-cooled setup that produces 15.2 hp at 8,000 rpm, and 14 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Meanwhile on the Vario 160 scooter, the engine with the same setup produces 15.2 hp at 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. In general, the new Honda ADV 160 will also be equipped with the same engine, but its performance may be different from its brothers of the same brand.
