The actual selling price of SH Modes at dealers is higher than listed by 14 million VND.
Among the Honda product lines on the market today, Honda SH Mode is one of the those constantly having prices strongly raised by dealers, often by over 10 million VND from the listed price.
At the beginning of April, Honda adjusted the listed prices of its product lines. Since then, the base price of SH Mode increased by about 500,000 VND compared to the old price:
However, the selling price of SH Mode at the dealer has never been true to listed and is always overpriced. According to a survey at some dealers, the price of a Standard SH Mode is being offered at VND 67.2 million, a difference of more than VND 11 million; ABS Premium version is offered for 71.99 – 73.99 million VND depending on color, 11.5 – 13.5 million higher than listed price. Finally, SH Mode ABS Special Edition has an actual price of 75.9 million VND, raised by 14 million VND.
In attempting to explain, sales staff all said that the current demand for SH Mode car buyers is quite high, while it is often in short supply. There are not enough colors and versions for sale to customers. There were times when Honda SH Mode was overpriced from 15 to 20 million VND, but it was still difficult for customers to buy one due to the wrong version or color.
Honda SH Mode is a scooter in the high-end segment, competing with Piaggio Liberty. The latest version of SH Mode was introduced by Honda Vietnam at the end of 2021, renamed and increased selling price by 2 million compared to the old version.
Notable features of the scooter include new fuel-efficient eSP+ engine, LED headlights, telescopic front forks, single rear shock absorber, 16-inch cast wheels, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. Depending on version, SH Mode will be integrated with CBS or ABS. The standard lock is smart Smart Key with a FOB control device to help bring convenience to use. For utility, Honda SH Mode has a trunk under the seat with a capacity of 18 liters. Its front storage compartment is equipped with a USB charging port so that users can charge mobile devices or backup batteries.
