Domestically assembled Ioniq 5 electric car is on sale with two versions, having an operating range from 384-451 km and the highest price of 1.45 billion VND.

Over a year of market exploration, Hyundai Thanh Cong officially distributed the Ioniq 5. Hyundai’s first electric car line assembled in Vietnam includes 2 versions that are Exclusive priced at 1.3 billion VND and Prestige priced at 1.45 billion VND. Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023 is in the same segment with VinFast VF 8. The Vietnamese brand electric car model has 2 versions that are Eco at 1,094 billion VND and Plus at 1,263 billion VND without battery. The price of those versions with battery is 1.29 billion and 1.47 billion, respectively. Therefore, the prices of the Ioniq 5 and VF 8 are comparable.

The Ioniq 5 Exclusive is equipped with a 58-kWh lithium battery pack with a range of 384 km according to WLTP standards. The vehicle’s electric motor has a capacity of 170 hp, and torque of 350 Nm. This version has 19-inch rims and 235/55 tires.

Meanwhile, the Prestige version is equipped with a 72.6 kWh lithium battery pack with a range of 451 km. The vehicle’s electric motor has a capacity of 217 hp, torque of 350 Nm. This version has 20-inch rims with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 255/45 tires.

Each Ioniq 5 sold is accompanied by a standard residential plug-in AC charger with a capacity of 2.5 kW. In particular, with a 58 kWh or 72.6 kWh battery pack, the car will be fully charged in 23.2 hours or 29 hours. Moreover, Hyundai Thanh Cong offers customers a higher capacity home charging package, but its capacity is not yet informed. Currently, dealers are building higher capacity charging stations. The company aims to cover 80% of the nation’s charging station network by 2024.

Hyundai equips the Ioniq 5 with Smart Sense safety systems, including BCA blind spot collision avoidance assist, RCCA reverse collision prevention, collision warning when exiting SEA vehicles. The vehicle also has LKA Lane Keeping Assist, blind spot warning, FCA pre-collision prevention and intelligent cruise control. Other standard safety features of the car include ABS/EBD/BA brakes, traction control, electronic balance, hill start assist, tire pressure sensor and 6 airbags.

The Ioniq 5’s highlight is the Parametric Pixel design with pixel-style front/rear lights with glowing squares. This model’s appearance is inspired by the the first Korean car model named Pony.

The vehicle’s interior has a minimalist design. The highlight on the dashboard is a pair of interconnected 12.3-inch screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. It supports Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connection and 360 camera. The luggage compartment of this model has a capacity of 531 liters and can be increased to 1,600 liters when the second row of seats is folded. The vehicle supports the V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature that provides residential power through the vehicle socket system with a maximum power of 3,600W.

Ioniq 5 Sold in 3 exterior colors, including black, white, silver. The vehicle warranties 5 years in period or 100,000 km in journey whichever comes first. Meanwhile the battery warranty is 8 years in period or 160,000 km in journey whichever comes first.
