Cumulative sales in the first 11 months of the year reached 20,765 vehicles. A 50% registration fee support program further moves Vios to the position of the best-selling car in the whole market in 2022.

The policy of supporting 50% of registration fee is applied by Toyota Vietnam to customers who buy Toyota Vios G and Vios E (MT & CVT) at Toyota dealers nationwide. This incentive is equivalent to about VND 36 million for Pearl White G CVT when registered in Hanoi.

Currently, Vios sales are leading the Vietnamese car market with 20,765 units sold in the first 10 months of the year. With a 50% discount on the registration fee at the end of the year, Toyota Vietnam’s B-class sedan has more momentum to be the best-selling position in the general market in 2022. Last year, this position belonged to VinFast Fadil, which was discontinued since the middle of this year.

Among the top best-selling car in the Vietnamese market, Vios is one that maintained stable performance. Toyota’s B-class sedan set a sales peak in 2020 with sales of 30,251 units, or an average of 2,500 vehicles per month. From 2014, Vios held the position of the best-selling market for 6 consecutive years, not once being surpassed by competitors in the same segment.

“Durability, low cost of use, and easy liquidity are factors that have been verified by Vietnamese customers on Vios since its first appearance in 2003 until”, an expert in the automotive field in Hanoi informed.

In the current version, Toyota also brings a series of upgrades to the car line in order to attract more groups of customers for personal and family use.

Vios exterior is refreshed in a more youthful and modern direction. Units are equipped with LED lighting system and daytime running lights. The highlight is the large grille with chrome horizontal bars. Its interior has a TFT driver center screen. In the middle is a touch screen entertainment screen, supporting a series of Bluetooth connections like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Cruise Control is also added on the Vios G CVT version.

In terms of safety technology, Vios gets 5-star certification from ASEAN NCAP while competitors are usually at 4-star level. Other technologies on Vios include ABS, EBD, BA, HAC, VSC, TRC, 7 airbags, reversing camera, and sensors around the body.

With the majority of Vios buyers, this model scores points thanks to its durable, stable operation, and reasonable cost of use. The car uses a 4-cylinder engine, intelligent Dual VVT-I (2NR-FE) for a capacity of 107 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. Vios’ durability has been proven for generations in Vietnam. This 2NR-FE engine block has been used by Toyota on Vios from 2016 to present.

In addition to functionality, the extensive dealer network is one of the factors that promote sales for Toyota models in Vietnam. Currently, the Japanese company has a system of 85 dealers, branchess and authorized stations located in 45 provinces and cities. In which, respectively in the North, Central, and South are 30, 18, and 37.

Currently, Toyota Vios has 3 versions of 1.5G CVT, 1.5E CVT, and 1.5E MT, starting price from 489 million VND. The most advanced version Vios 1.5G CVT in Pearl White is priced at VND 600 million (VAT included).
