The 100th anniversary edition of the BMW R nineT, limited production of 1,923 units, has just arrived in Vietnam in genuine form, priced at more than 900 million VND.

In 1923, BMW Motorrad’s production line marked a historic milestone with the completion of the first commercial vehicle model, the R32. Now, to commemorate 100 years of this iconic brand, BMW Group’s motorcycle manufacturing division has crafted a special edition R nineT based on the standard model.

This 100th-anniversary edition of the BMW R nineT showcases distinct visual highlights thanks to the inclusion of the 719-equipment package. Many components, such as the front reverse shock absorbers, front fenders, and air intake collar, are finished in glossy black. Notably, the chrome-plated fuel tank features an engraved production serial number plate, and white stripes adorn both the tank and front fenders. The 719-equipment package also introduces additions like spoked rims, engine covers, updated footrests for rear passengers, and nodding mirrors.

In addition to the standard features, the R nineT also comes equipped with cruise control, a heated steering wheel, adaptive headlights for cornering, and Riding Modes Pro driving mode.

The R nineT anniversary edition retains the 2-cylinder Boxer engine with a displacement of 1,170 cc. This powerhouse delivers a maximum output of 109 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and a peak torque of 116 Nm at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Following in the footsteps of the R18, the BMW R nineT 100th-anniversary edition will be produced in a limited quantity of 1,923 units, paying homage to the inaugural year of BMW’s commercial vehicle production. The selling price for this model, imported from Germany to Vietnam, has yet to be disclosed by Thaco Auto, the official BMW car distributor. However, some dealership staff have indicated that the anniversary edition R nineT is priced at around 900 million VND, which is approximately 200 million VND higher than the standard version.

In the Vietnamese market, the standard R nineT, priced at 689 million VND, stands on par with the Harley Davidson Street Bob 114.
