Kia K3 sold 11,404 vehicles in 2022, and Mazda3 sold 9,812 vehicles. The total sales volume of these two models reached 21,216 units, while the consumption of the whole market of this segment is 29,918 units.

The dominance of Kia K3 and Mazda3 compared to the rest, including the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Altis, and Honda Civic, occurred from the beginning of 2022 to the end of the year. Sales volume of K3 grew by more than 8% compared to 2021. Mazda3 sales nearly doubled compared to the same period last year.

With the advantage of being assembled domestically, Kia K3 and Mazda3 offer many versions and options to customers at lower prices than other models in the same segment. In addition, many incentive programs launched by Thaco also help these two models maintain their attraction in this segment.

Hyundai Elantra assembled and distributed by TC Motor, ranked 3rd in the C-Class Sedans with 2,921 vehicles sold. The 7th generation of Elantra was introduced in October 2022 in Vietnam with major changes in design, equipment, and engines with slightly increased selling prices.

At the bottom of the list of C-Class sedans are Toyota Altis with 3,856 units sold and Civic with 1,925 units sold. In March 2022, Toyota Vietnam introduced the 12th generation Altis into Thailand, for the first time with a hybrid version, a 1.8-liter engine with TSS safety package, priced from 719 million VND. Meanwhile, the 11th-generation Honda Civic was introduced a month earlier. This vehicle has many changes in design, equipment, and has discounted compared to the old version.

The C-Class segment also has MG MG5, but the distributor did not publish their sales figures.
