Before that, Toyota Innova 2023 was introduced in Indonesia and India. Entering the third generation, Innova is developed based on a global platform called GA-C. This is a monolithic chassis and comes with a front-wheel drive system, while the old generation uses a body-on-frame chassis and rear-wheel drive system.

The exterior design has completely changed, bearing the look of an SUV. The front features a large trapezoidal grille, slimmer LED headlights and an aggressive front bumper. Moreover, increasing the wheelbase to bring the two wheels closer to the front and rear of the car also brings aesthetics. The car is equipped with a Dynamic Force Engine, 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, code M20A-FKS, for a capacity of 171 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. Compared to the 2.0L gasoline engine on the old generation, the new engine offers greater power and torque.

The second option is a hybrid engine, codenamed M20A-FXS, using a combination of a 2.0L gasoline engine (power of 152 hp and 187 Nm of torque) and an electric motor (113 hp and torque of 206 Nm), for a total capacity of 186 hp. Compact NiMH batteries are in the two front seats.

All engines come with a CVT automatic transmission, code K120, with a 10-speed sequential shift mode. The hybrid engine version has 4 driving modes, including: Eco, Normal, Power and EV. Along with that is the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety technology package.
