The domestically assembled Toyota Veloz Cross will be launched within the framework of the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2022 taking place from October 26.

Previously, information that Veloz Cross will be moved to domestic assembly instead of importing CBU from Indonesia was shared by sales consultants, but it is unclear when the official launch of the assembly would be.

It is unclear how many versions of the model will be available. Currently, this MPV is imported from Indonesia with 2 versions, CVT and CVT Top, at prices of 658 million and 698 million VND, respectively. With the shift to domestic assembly, the selling price of Toyota Veloz Cross is unlikely to decrease, but the supply of this model will be guaranteed. Customers will no longer have to wait for too long or spend tens of millions more to buy additional accessories for early delivery.

In September, Toyota Veloz Cross sold 2,572 units, successfully surpassing Mitsubisihi Xpander and became best-selling small MPV segment. This result is very impressive because in September, after price adjustments, the Toyota Veloz Cross now has a higher price than the Xpander, but this has not prevented Vietnamese customers from coming to this MPV model.

In addition to modern design, Toyota Veloz Cross also attracts Vietnamese users thanks to a series of leading technologies in the low-cost MPV segment, namely the Toyota Safety Sense safety system that includes attractive features.

During this year’s Vietnam Motor Show, Toyota Vietnam expects to continue introducing hybrid technology, their biggest recent achievement. This has been applied for models such as Corolla Cross, Camry, or Altis.

Other Toyota products in Vietnam are also expected to appear in this year’s exhibition such as Avanza Premio, Land Cruiser, Camry…
