Production speed at the American electric vehicle company’s plant in Shanghai is less than 40 seconds per car.

The Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai is known for its high-tech and efficient production process. It has the capability to ship a Model 3 or Model Y vehicle every 40 seconds, showcasing its impressive manufacturing speed. The factory employs robotic arms and coordinates equipment to enhance production efficiency, allowing for smooth and rapid assembly of vehicles.

According to Tesla’s announcement, the Shanghai Gigafactory produces more than a million vehicles annually. In the first half of the year, nearly half a million vehicles manufactured in China were sold, with some of them being exported to markets like Thailand and Canada.

Aside from its focus on production efficiency, the Gigafactory in Shanghai also pays attention to employee facilities and well-being. The factory is reported to have 16 restaurants, where employees can conveniently order food through its own app.

On the other hand, Ford’s factory in Dearborn, Michigan, USA, is also a significant player in vehicle production. It can produce one F-150 vehicle every 49 seconds, demonstrating its capacity to manufacture a large number of trucks in a short period.

Both Tesla and Ford are key players in the automotive industry, and their factories showcase the advancements in technology and manufacturing processes that contribute to their success in producing vehicles at scale.
