EVGO VS125 has just been released in Vietnam with a price of VND 44.9 million, the vehicle has its design similar to the Honda Vario 125 series.

Recently, the motorcycle brand belonging to Son Ha Group – EVGO has launched the premium electric motorcycle model EVGO VS125. EVGO VS125 is distributed at a price of 44.9 million VND with batteries excluded. Since the company has not developed a charging station system like VinFast, there does not have a battery rental policy, so that Vietnamese customers will have to buy batteries with the price of 24.9 million VND.

Therefore, to own EVGO VS125, customers have to spend a total of 70 million VND. This price is not only not reasonable enough to compare with other electric models on the market, but also even more expensive than the Honda Vario 160 gasoline model being sold genuinely (priced from VND 51.99 million).

Although newly launched, EVGO VS125 has created a controversy since it has a similar design to the Honda Vario 125 series. The details of the EVGO VS125 such as the front of the vehicle, daytime navigation light strip, heightened body and rear or headlights are all “learned” from Honda Vario 125. Even the buttons and front drawer are quite similar to the Honda Vario 125.

EVGO VS125 has detailed dimensions of length x width x height of 1,960 x 690 x 1,100 mm respectively with a weight of 130 kg. Notable equipment on EVGO VS125 should be mentioned as 14-inch wheels, 90/80 front tires, 100/80 rear tires, LED lighting system, full LCD instrument cluster. In addition, the EVGO VS125 uses disc brakes on the front wheels and CBS brakes on the rear.

In terms of performance, EVGO VS125 uses a 3,000W motor, giving a maximum speed of 80 km/h. According to the automaker, EVGO VS125 has an active range of up to 150 km if equipped with 2 separate batteries. However, EVGO VS125 does not have the same battery rental policy as VinFast.

Many believe that the EVGO VS125 will be difficult to compete with competitors in the same price range as its controversial design and active range are certainly not convincing.

At nearly 45 million VND, many customers will choose other models such as Honda Vision, Honda LEAD or electric model of VinFast Klara S2. However, it needs time to verify whether EVGO VS125 is at disadvantage in the sales race in the Vietnamese market or not.
