Kia Vietnam recently launched a promotion program in August 2021 to cope with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to stimulate consumer demand in this month – a month what Vietnamese customers abstain from car shopping. In general, only 3 models are on the applicable list: Kia Sorento, Cerato, and Sedona.

In particular, Kia Sorento receives a promotion of up to VND 100 million, including direct discounts and 1 year of material insurance. After the reduction, the selling price of Kia Sorento starts at only VND 999 million. This is understandable because the attraction of this SUV has continuously decreased in recent months, which results in the loss in its sales race against rival Hyundai Santa Fe. For example, from May to July, Sorento’s sales results dropped from 415 cars to 350 cars and 121 cars.

Next, Kia Cerato has a promotion of up to VND 65 million in August 2021, bringing the starting price after the promotion to only VND 499 million. In fact, in recent months, Kia Cerato often receive large incentives. This may be a move to discharge inventory as there is a possible upgrade for this model in September.

Finally, customers looking for the Kia Sedona in August will enjoy a discount up to VND 30 million along with gifts such as a dashcam and material insurance (dependent on the version). This MPV model is also rumored to launch a new version later this year.
