After going public at the end of August, the Great Wall Tank 500 has now officially announced the pre-order price in the Chinese domestic market.

At Guangzhou Motor Show 2021, Tank – a sub-brand of Great Wall Motors – officially announced the pre-order price of the new 500 large-sized SUV. Specifically, the Tank 500 will be offered to the market under 3 versions and 9 models, with prices ranging from 335,000 to 395,000 yuan (equivalent to 1.18 – 1.4 billion VND).

The entire Tank line-up has a strong off-road style, and the Tank 500 is no exception. Its front has a large hexagonal grille, and the embossed cube design helps to create a distinct three-dimensional effect. On either side of the grille are LED headlights. The front bumper of the new car has a prominent, long bar design. At the same time, the Tank 500 also offers 1-tone or 2-tone options to enrich the exterior.

At the rear, this large SUV is equipped with a roof spoiler. Taillights are arranged along the sides, and connected by a chrome decorative strip. The overall rear of the car also brings a strong feeling, with a clear tiered design, square contours. In terms of dimensions, the Tank 500 is 4,878 mm long (excluding the spare wheel), 1,934 mm wide, 1,905 mm high, and has a 2,850 mm wheelbase.

As for the interior, the new car uses a modern 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Meanwhile, the 14.6-inch central touch screen has a floating design on the dashboard. The center console feels hierarchical and takes up a lot of space, with the central part being the electronic gear lever. The control mechanisms and knob-shaped function keys, combined with the wooden trim panels and the leather interior, all help bring about a luxurious, high-class look.

Great Wall Tank 500 will be equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine with a maximum capacity of 354 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. In particular, the 4-wheel drive system of the car is an intelligent third-generation with a mechanical locking function, which can provide many different off-road driving modes.
