While all attention is on the new generation CR-V, leaked images of the Honda Accord 2023 suddenly spread online.
Recently, the paparazzi have often encountered the model that is believed to be the new generation Honda Accord on the test track. Indeed, the 2023 model has suddenly appeared through an image of industrial design registration in Brazil.
This document does not specify the name of the vehicle in the photo. However, through the words “Honda” and the exterior design of the car, it can be certain that this is the new Accord. The reason is that the steering wheel and headlights of the car are similar to the Honda Accord tested on the streets of North America.
Through these images, it can be seen that the 11th generation Honda Accord is equipped with a hexagonal grille with a new honeycomb mesh. It seems that this grille will gradually become a characteristic design of Honda models. Previously, there were a number of new Honda models such as CR-V, Ridgeline and Passport TrailSport that had this grille installed.
Connected to the grille is a slimmer and sharper LED headlamp cluster than before. This cluster is reminiscent of other Honda models such as the new HR-V and Civic. The LED daytime running lights will be integrated into the headlights and located close to the bonnet.
Compared to the new Civic, Honda Accord 2023 is equipped with a less sporty front bumper. On both sides of the central air cavity, there are two more small vertical air vents. In addition, this D-class sedan also comes with a rather long and flat bonnet.
On the side, Honda Accord 2023 also has a ribbed line extending from the headlights to the taillights. This is one of the typical designs of Honda cars today.
In the back, users will encounter LED taillights located across the rear of the car and is reminiscent of the old generation Hyundai Grandeur. In addition, there is a small spoiler integrated into the rear trunk lid.
Unfortunately, there is no interior image and engine information of the new generation Honda Accord. However, it is expected that this D-size sedan will use an upgraded version of the old engines. In the 10th generation currently on the market, Honda Accord has 3 engine options. The first is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 195 horsepower. The second is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 256 horsepower. Finally, there is a hybrid powertrain with a 2.0L gasoline engine, for a maximum capacity of 215 horsepower.
It is likely that the Honda Accord 2023 will be officially launched in the second half of this year. The car will be sold in important markets such as China and the US initially.
