Goodwill deposit slots to prioritize early deliveries are being made by Honda dealers for the BR-V, the MPV model scheduled for July.

Many dealership employees began accepting customer deposits from middle of May for the Honda BR-V, the new MPV model will sell in Vietnam from the beginning of July, which imported from Indonesia. The deposit is about 10 million VND, if the vehicle does not meet the needs of customers when sold, the dealer will refunds the deposit.

According to dealers, Honda BR-V is expected to have two versions of G and L, applied with the same 1.5-liter engine, 121 horsepower, maximum torque of 145 Nm. The Vietnamese market will only have one gearbox option of CVT. While in Indonesia, the BR-V has 4 versions, equally divided into manual and automatic transmission options.

Honda Sensing safety technology package with features such as automatic braking to mitigate collisions, automatic adaptive headlights, adaptive cruise control including low speed range, vehicle departure notification, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, is expected in the highest model of Honda BR-V. However, some features can be omitted to match the price and increase the opportunity to compete with competitors.

In Indonesia, LED headlights are standard equipment of the Honda BR-V. MPV model of Honda Owning dimensions length x width x height 4,490 x 1,780 x 1,685 mm, wheelbase 2,700 mm, respectively. This parameter is equivalent to the currently best-selling MPV model in the segment, the Mitsubishi Xpander with dimensions of 4,475 x 1,750 x 1,730 mm, wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

The interior of the BR-V is in 7-seat configuration. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen is standard. Behind the steering wheel is a 4.2-inch TFT screen (CVT versions).

Honda dealers in Vietnam informed that the expected price of BR-V would be around VND 700 million. BR-V is the second MPV model sold by Honda in Vietnam. Previously, the company had the Odyssey in the mid-size MPV segment, competing with the Kia Sedona, but high price caused the car to be discontinued. With the BR-V, Honda can diversify its product portfolio, appears in the third most sold segment in the market, after B-size sedans and small CUVs.
