In March 2022, Honda CR-V only needed to be on shelf for an average of 7.6 days at dealers to gain a buyer.
SUV/crossover is currently the top-selling car segment in the world market, more specifically the US. Among the most popular models today, it is impossible not to mention the Honda CR-V. Research results of iSeeCars.com in March 2022 once again prove the attraction of the C-size crossover from Japan.
Accordingly, in March, Honda CR-V was the fastest selling model in the US market. This model took an average of 7.6 days at dealerships before having a buyer.
The average transaction price of Honda CR-V in the US market in March this year was 33,073 USD. Meanwhile, the starting price of this crossover is $ 27,625, including shipping and delivery fees. The most advanced version of the Honda CR-V is the Touring, priced at $ 37,425.
“Honda is one of the automakers with the fewest vehicles in stock, and sales of the CR-V in the first quarter fell 37.5 percent year-on-year due to a lack of supply” said Karl Brauer, an analyst at iSeeCars.com. “The increased demand for this small crossover is probably due to the escalating gasoline prices.”
According to iSeeCars.com, the Honda CR-V isn’t the only crossover in the top 20 fastest-selling cars in the US in March 2022. In addition, there are 11 other names, including Genesis GV70 (2nd place), Lexus RX 350 (3rd), Toyota Highlander (4th), Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (6th), Subaru Forester (8th), Subaru Crosstrek (10th), Toyota RAV4 (12th), BMW X3 (13th), Ford Bronco (14th), BMW X5 (17th) and Hyundai Tucson (19th).
Although it is a luxury SUV, the Genesis GV70 only stayed at the dealer for 12.2 days before being bought. The corresponding number of the luxury SUV model Lexus RX 350 is 13 days. Meanwhile, the average stay at a Toyota Highlander dealer is 13.6 days.

Top 20 best-selling new car models in Northa America, March 2022
Not only listing new cars, iSeeCars.com also offers a list of 20 fastest-selling used car models in the US market in March 2022. Accordingly, the fastest used car model to deliver to customers is Tesla Model X with an average of 28 days. This is quite surprising because the Tesla Model X has an average transaction price of up to $ 90,406. However, this is still much lower than the suggested retail price of $140,440.
Explaining this result, Mr. Bauer said: ” The earliest Tesla Model X delivery time to customers is December 2022 for the standard version, and August 2022 for the high-performance Plaid. This has pushed up customer demands for used cars.”
It seems that gas-efficient cars and electric models have been very popular with US consumers in the past month. The reason is that gasoline prices in the US are still high. Behind Tesla Model X in the top 20 list, there are some other eco-friendly models such as Honda Insight (28.9 days on average), Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid (29.4 days), Tesla Model Y (29.5 days) and Toyota Prius Prime (32.8 days).
“Many used hybrid models such as the Honda Insight, Hyundai Ioniq and Toyota Prius are cheaper than others, which should appeal to price-conscious customers.”- said Mr. Bauer.
