Honda Elevate launches globally

A new model with high ground clearance inspired by the HR-V, with the same engine as the City, equipped with many features, will be sold from July.

Honda introduced the new Elevate in India on June 6. According to MotorBeam , Elevate will compete with rivals in the B-size SUV segment, where there is Hyundai Creta , Kia Seltos , Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and MG Astor.

Elevate is equipped with slim LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The car has a large grille with many chrome details. Its front bumper integrated with fog lights. The car uses 17-inch alloy wheels with two tones. The two sides of the body are applied decorative panels, chrome door handles, roof racks, A and B pillars in black tones. It has LED taillight cluster inspired by WR-V.

Honda’s new model with high ground clearance is 4,312 mm long, 1,790 mm wide, 1,650 mm high. This size is 72 mm shorter and 60 mm taller than the HR-V. The Elevate’s wheelbase is 2,650 mm, which is 40 mm longer than the HR-V. The ground clearance is 220 mm, 19 mm higher and the minimum turning radius is 5.2 m, 0.3 m shorter than the HR-V.

The vehicle’s interior is sporty using the main black tone. It has a 10.25-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, supports Apple CarPlay / Android Auto wireless connection. A 7-inch digital display is equipped behind the steering wheel. It has a 3-spoke design steering wheel inherited from Honda City. The storage compartment of Elevate has a capacity of 458 liters. The vehicle also has a sunroof, wireless phone charger, rear air-conditioning vents.

Elevate’s safety features with the Honda Sensing package include CMBS collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, front vehicle departure notification and automatic high beams. The car is equipped with 6 airbags, ABS / EBD / BA brakes, support for horizontal departure, lane view camera, multi-angle reversing camera.

Elevate is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine like Honda City, with a capacity of 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. It has optional 6-speed manual or 7-speed CVT simulator. An electric version of the Elevate EV will be available within the next three years, according to Honda.

As planned, Honda Elevate will be for sale from July and the price will be announced near this time. A representative of the Japanese automaker revealed that Elevate will be exported to many international markets from India.
