Astra Honda Motor in Indonesia has recently released the 2022 update for the Genio small-sized scooter model. Along with the new color additions, this new version also has a number of changes.

Firstly, the front mask of Genio 2022 has been redesigned with the omitted detail of the air slit, while maintaining the two-level headlamp cluster with the turn signals mounted on the front mask. This makes the overall face looks compact but still sporty.

The instrument cluster on the Genio 2022 remains a full LCD displaying all parameters. Below which, the right storage compartment has an additional closing lid and a convenient USB charging port. Meanwhile, that on the left retains the same design as its predecessor. This small scooter also has a 14-liter trunk that allows the user to simultaneously store two full-face helmets and many other items.

The next change on Genio 2022 is in the rims. This generation uses 12-inch rims instead of 14-inch like the previous iteration. Accompanying that is a set of tubeless tires with the front and rear sizes of 100/90 – 12 59J and 110/90 – 12 64J, respectively. The scooter still uses the new generation eSAF frame with an overall size of 1,862 x 694 x 1,061 mm and a weight of 93kg – one of the lightest scooters on the market today.

In terms of power, Genio 2022 still uses the eSP engine block with a cylinder capacity of 109cc, air-cooled. This engine block produces a maximum capacity of 9 horsepower at 7500 rpm, and maximum torque of 9.3 Nm at 5500 rpm. Fuel consumption stands at 59.1km/liter of petrol.

The selling price of Genio 2022 in Indonesia is from 18.53 million Rupee – about 29.5 million VND.
