Since the beginning of August, the number of Honda motorbikes distributed to dealers has been better than in the previous weeks. Sales staff at HEADs said that thanks to the stable supply, the shortage of stock, especially the scooter line, has been resolved.

From the brand’s side, a representative of Honda Vietnam said that, thanks to the recovery of the global semiconductor chip supply from July, the company was able to start resupplying the market with some scooter models after months of deep sales decline.

“We always try our best to bring in scooters at dealers to meet the needs of customers,” said a representative of Honda Vietnam. “Currently, scooter products have been distributed to HEADs with all colors and types”.

The gradually better supply is the main reason why the prices of Honda motorbikes at the dealer no longer suffer from huge inflations like at the end of June. For example, to own a Honda Vision scooter model Personality version, customers had to spend 53-55 million VND. However, from the beginning of August, this number decreased to 36-43 million. Many customers said that this price was more reasonable, corresponding to the actual supply-demand situation of the market. In addition to Vision, many other Honda models such as SH Mode, Air Blade, Lead… are also at attractive prices.

Many HEADs in Hanoi offer cash discounts of 1-3 million VND for customers who order SH Mode, Air Blade, Lead, and Vision, along with gifts. HEADs in Ho Chi Minh City also launched stimulus programs such as cash reductions and lucky draws. For customers who are students about to enter the new school year, dealers give away 500,000 VND when buying a motorbike, applicable to all products.

With a strong brand advantage, the largest number of sales agents, and a wide range of products, Honda has been the dominant company in the motorcycle segment in Vietnam for years. After the first 6 months of 2022, Honda hit sales of 610,572 scooter units, continuing to lead the market.

In 2021 alone, Honda motorcycles sold more than 1.9 million units. Vision is the company’s best-selling model with 490,613 delivered to customers, accounting for 24.6% of total sales. Honda Vision has also been the best-selling model of the Vietnamese motorcycle market for over 4 years.
