Prior, the Japanese manufacturer had always publicized the monthly sales of Vision as Honda’s best-selling scooter model.

As Honda’s best-seller for many years in a row, Vision sales are always publicized monthly by Honda along with motorcycle and automobile business results in general. However, in the May 2022 business results report recently announced by the Japanese automaker, this figure was not mentioned.

This is the second consecutive month that Honda has kept Vision sales from reports. At the end of April 2022, the company said that the availability of domestically produced scooter models may have been affected due to the affected supply chain.

According to announcements, Honda sold a total of 155,414 motorcycles in May 2022, down by 16% compared to the previous month. Wave Alpha continues to replace Vision’s position as the company’s best-selling model with a total of 36,893 units sold, accounting for 23.7% of total sales. The Winner X clutch model still has stable sales with 8,423 units sold in May.

In addition to not being able to publicize sales, Vision is also a topic of much discussion in recent times as the selling price at dealers of this scooter is over 50 million VND, while the listed selling price was only as high as 35 million. And despite the rocketing price, the Vision is still in short supply.

From business results of the first quarter of 2022, Vision is the best-selling motorcycle model of Honda, and the Vietnamese motorcycle market in general with a total of 145,993 units sold.
