The commercial version of the Honda SUV RS Concept is expected to be called the ZR-V, while competing against the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet.

During the ongoing Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2021, Honda has introduced a new concept model called SUV RS Concept. Despite its conceptual state, the RS Concept SUV still attracts attention as it gives previews of the design of a new urban SUV model from Honda. The commercial version of the Honda SUV RS Concept is expected to be called the ZR-V, which will compete with the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet.

Designed in Thailand, the Honda SUV RS Concept possesses a small and youthful appearance. At the front of the car, this 5-seater SUV is equipped with slender and sharp LED headlights. The headlight cluster is connected to the wide grille and comes with a mesh-like chessboard. The grilles also extend to the sides, reminiscent of Peugeot models like the new 3008.

And yet, the RS Concept also has a rather large trapezoidal central air cavity below. There are 2 triangular air vents located vertically on both sides of the front of the car.

On the sides, the concept is equipped with a ribbed line extending from the front fender to the rear light and is located just above the door handle. In addition, the black roof contrasts with the stylish body.

Round to the back, we will encounter a rear light cluster with a unique dash-like shape inside. This rear light cluster is connected by a strip of lights in the middle. Similar to the front of the car, on the rear bumper, there are also 2 vertical triangular air vents.

In addition, this concept car also comes with a black roof spoiler and a silver underbody panel under the rear bumper. In keeping with the “RS” name, this model has red accents on the center and side air vents.

Currently, Honda has not released interior images and specifications of the RS Concept SUV. It is predicted that when the Honda ZR-V is on the market, it will use a 4-cylinder, DOHC, 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine like the BR-V 2022. This engine produces a maximum of 121 horsepower and maximum torque of 145 Nm. The engine combines with a CVT.

In addition, Honda ZR-V is expected to be equipped with the Honda Sensing active safety technology package, including an automatic emergency braking system and an adaptive cruise control system.

Honda has not announced when to launch the new ZR-V. Because it was designed in Thailand, Honda ZR-V will most likely be distributed in many Southeast Asian markets. This A-class SUV may also be sold in India as an alternative to the WR-V.
