Honda Vietnam recalls scooter SH300i

25 May 2021

On May 24, Honda Vietnam announced a campaign to recall the Italian imported SH300i scooter model distributed by HEADs.

The recall of SH300i is to deal with the phenomenon that the concentration of gasoline vapors released into the environment exceeds the current Vietnam standards. The company also emphasizes that the concentration of gasoline vapor does not create a safety or quality loss of the vehicle.

A total of 1332 SH300i models from 2008-2020 are included in this recall (you can see HERE to see if your vehicle is subject to the recall). Owners of SH300i who are subject to this recall from May 24, 2021 can bring their vehicle to the HEAD for technical inspection and installation of a gas vapor control accessory. Estimated time of implementation is 4 hours and the entire cost will be free.

Honda started distributing Italian imported SH300i in Vietnam market since 2016, and has received a warm welcome from users. The current SH300i ABS version is being distributed with a 279cc single-cylinder SOHC engine, producing a maximum capacity of 18.5 kW at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 25.5 Nm at 5000 rpm. The scooter is also equipped with single disc brakes for both front and rear wheels, comes with dual channel ABS anti-lock braking system and HSTC torque control system.

The suggested selling price of the SH300i in Vietnam is VND 276,490,000 and is the most premium scooter distributed by Honda Vietnam.
