HVN revealed that its motorcycle sales in November reached 191,416 units, increasing by 7% compared to October.
Yesterday, 12/12/2020, Honda Vietnam (HVN) officially announced its business results in November 2020. According to those results, the company’s motorcycle segment recorded total sales of 191,415 units, increasing by 7% compared to October.
With the above sales, HVN has sold a total of 1,328,738 vehicles in fiscal year, 2021, (from 4/2020 to 3/2022). Although there have been positive changes compared to October, HVN’s sales have decreased quite sharply compared to the same period of fiscal year 2020. Specifically, compared to November last year, sales of HVN in November this year have decreased by 17%. Cumulative sales for fiscal year 2021 are also 24% lower than the same period last year.
This decline is unavoidable because since March 2020, the Covid-19 outbreak has affected all industries as well as consumer’s buying power. On the contrary, closer to the last months of the year, HVN regained its growth momentum as monthly sales were higher than the previous month.
In recent times, the demand for buying motorcycles of consumers has also grown again. It was proved by the dearth of commodity, leading to higher vehicle prices in many popular models of HVN such as SH, Lead or Vision.
According to Honda Vietnam, Vision and Wave Alpha are still the mainstays of the company with very high sales. Specifically, Honda sold 42,444 Vision vehicles in November, accounting for 22% of HVN’s total motorcycle sales, while Wave Alpha recorded sales of 30,409 units, making up 16% of HVN’s total motorcycle sales in 11/2020.
Yesterday, HVN also launched a new version of Vision with improvements in both terms of design and utility. This changes help the scooters become more and more perfect, and at the same time, they bring more options to the customers. The price of the new Honda Vision is also adjusted to increase a bit compared to the current model. Specifically, the price of the new Vision scooter will range from 30 to 34.5 million VND. Meanwhile, Honda Wave Alpha is the cheapest model among Honda’s product portfolio, priced at 17.8 million dong.
