Earlier, the distributor of the Hyundai Creta model announced plans to switch to assembling this model instead of importation as before.

Accordingly, in December 2022, information appeared on the website of the Vietnam Register about the domestically assembled Hyundai Creta. The company also announced at first that the Hyundai Creta will be imported for sale first, then will move to be assembled.

However, despite switching to assembly, from interior and exterior design, equipment, version and even the selling price of the car, there is still no assembly compared to the imported version. Hyundai Creata still has 3 Standard, Special and Premium versions with selling prices of VND 640 million, VND 690 million and VND 740 million respectively.

Three versions of the Hyundai Creta still use a 1.5L engine, producing 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque, combining a CVT automatic transmission, front-wheel drive. Dimensions length x width x height 4,315 x 1,790 x 1,660 mm, base 2,610 mm and ground clearance 200 mm, respectively.  Its wheel size is 17-inch.

The highest version of the Hyundai Creta is equipped with Led headlights, automatic on-off, daytime positioning lights, and taillights. The interior is pretty much equipped with a 10.25-inch central screen, and a 10.25-inch electronic steering clock. Other versions only have a 3.5-inch multi-information steering meter.

In terms of safety, besides safety equipment such as ABS, EBD, BA, there is also electronic balance, hill start assists, traction control, tire pressure sensor, pedestrian collision avoidance assist, rear collision avoidance, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist and 6 airbags.

Since its launch, Hyundai Creta is one of the successful sales models of Hyundai Vietnam, according to sales reports, in the first 4 months of 2023, 3,284 units have been delivered and only lower than Hyundai Accent with 4,993 units. This model also has more stable selling power than the Hyundai Tucson or Santa Fe.

Currently in the B SUV segment, besides Hyundai Creta, there are still many other famous names such as Kia Seltos, Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda HR-V, Peugeot 2008, Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-30 and Nissan Kicks. Most of these models are imported from Thailand or assembled domestically.
