03 Oct 2022

Unlike predictions, the engine of the Hyundai Elantra 2023 has the same capacity as old but tweaked for greater power.

According to information from the website of the Vietnam Ministry of Registry, all 4 versions of Hyundai Elantra 2023 have completed registration and are expected to launch in Vietnam this October. Specifically, 4 versions of this C-class sedan are modeled as

  • 6 MPI 6AT,
  • 6 MPI 6AT GL,
  • 0 MPI 6AT, and
  • 6T-GDI 7DCT (supercharged).

Currently, Hyundai Elantra 2023 is expected to have a starting price of 629 million ranging to 839 million, an increase of about 70 million VND compared to the old model.

In particular, the first two versions use the same 1.6L engine with a capacity of 126 horsepower. The 2.0L gasoline engine has a capacity of 157 horsepower, a slight increase compared to the old model. Finally, turbocharged petrol engine (high performance N-line version) offers a maximum capacity of up to 201 horsepower, also a slight increased. The first three versions will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the N-line will use a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, front-wheel drive is default.

In this upgrade, the design of Hyundai Elantra 2023 employs a comprehensive makeover in a futuristic style similar to its brother Sonata. Compared to the regular versions, the high-performance N-line will have a sportier front bumper with a herringbone-shaped air cavity, a dual exhaust system, and 18-inch alloy wheels (The lower versions will use 15-inch, 16-inch, and 17-inch gasoline, respectively).

The interior of Hyundai Elantra 2023 is refreshed with a new style steering wheel; the digital instrument panel has the same 10.25-inch size as the central entertainment screen but will only be available on the most advanced version. Lower versions will likely only have an analog dashboard with an LCD screen. In addition, the entertainment screen will probably only be an 8-inch type. Some notable amenities include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 64-color interior trim lights, wireless phone charging, 8 Bose speakers, automatic air conditioning, push-start button, and electronic handbrake.

In terms of safety equipment, it is likely that the Hyundai Elantra 2023 will also have a Smart Sense technology package like other models currently distributed by TC Motor. This safety system includes attractive features such as forward/rear collision warning, lane keeping assist, lane change warning, cross-traffic alert, and intelligent automatic throttle.
