True to rumours, Hyundai Santa Fe 2022 will have a new 6-seater edition to compete against Kia Sorento
On December 6, 2021, Hyundai unexpectedly unveiled a new version of Santa Fe in the Korean market. True to previous rumors, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe is added a new 6-seat version to compete against Kia Sorento.
Thus, Hyundai Santa Fe 2022 in Korea currently has 3 interior configurations: 5, 6, and 7 seaters. In particular, the new 6-seater is equipped with 2 business seats in the middle. For which, Korean customers only need to spend an additional amount of 750,000 Won (about 14.6 million VND).
In addition to the new interior configuration, Hyundai Santa Fe 2022 in the Korean market is divided into 8 equipment versions. In particular, both versions of petrol and diesel engine have 3 equipment versions: Exclusive, Prestige and Calligraphy. These 3 equipment versions are also applied to Santa Fe Hybrid 2022.
To increase competitiveness, Hyundai adds new equipment to the standard Exclusive version of this mid-sized SUV such as boot sensor, automatic wipers, UV-resistant steering wheel and 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation system.
Meanwhile, the Prestige version has more modern safety features such as a blind spot detection, a support system to prevent collisions with vehicles crossing when reversing, and a collision warning system.
Calligraphy version is equipped with wireless smartphone charger and Hyundai Digital Key digital lock. With which, the driver only needs to use the application on a smartphone to open or lock the door.
Unfortunately, the design and engine of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2022 have not changed. The car still uses 3 types of engines as mentioned. The first is a Smartstream 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.5-liter gasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 281 horsepower and 421 Nm in torque. Coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this engine consumes an average of 10.8 km / liter (9.25 liters / 100 km).
The second is a SmartStream 4-cylinder diesel engine, 2.2L capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 202 horsepower and maximum torque of 441 Nm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and consumes only an average of 14.2 km / liter (about 7 liters / 100 km).
Finally, there is a hybrid powertrain with a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.6-liter gasoline engine, combined with a powerful 59-horsepower electric motor and 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This powertrain produces a maximum capacity of 227 HP and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The average gasoline consumption of Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid 2022 is 15.3 km / liter (about 6.5 liters / 100 km).
In the Korean market, the price of Hyundai Santa Fe 2022 ranges from 31.56 – 41.28 million Won (equivalent to 615 – 804 million VND).
