The maxi scooter model introduced in the European market not only has a powerful engine, but also integrates many leading features.

Kymco – a manufacturer in Taiwan – has recently launched a mid-size scooter model called Kymco AK550 2021, which will compete directly with TMAX 560 from Yamaha.

Possessing a typical maxi scooter language, but with sharp lines, Kymco AK550 2021 has a bunker and powerful appearance that surpasses its competitors. The saddle is layered to create comfort for both the driver and the rear passengers. It also includes a high level-adjustable windshield and an all-new aluminum-alloy chassis, which provides stability but is still lighter than other models in the segment, specifically. The AK550 2021 has a wet mass of 226kg.

Not only that, Kymco AK550 is also equipped with a full color TFT display and technical parameters to help the driver understand the condition of the car in a more general way. In addition, the date clock also has the ability to connect to smartphones via bluetooth connection, thereby displaying notifications on the watch as well as contributing to easier control of vehicle status. The key used on Kymco AK550 2021 is also a smartkey that helps users have modern experiences.

In terms of power, Kymco AK550 2021 is equipped with a 2-cylinder engine block with a total capacity of 550cc, liquid-cooled DOHC. This engine block produces a maximum capacity of 53.5 horsepower and maximum torque of 56Nm, meeting EURO5 emission standards. This engine is also supported by an electric throttle, which increases power when the car accelerates. The fuel tank capacity on the car is 15 liters.

Other modern equipment can be mentioned as 43mm KYB reverse shock absorbers, multi-level adjustable rear shock absorbers. The car is also equipped with dual front and rear disc brakes with high-end Brembo brake calipers.

However, the price of the AK550 2021 is not cheap either, with a selling price in Europe of € 9,999 – equivalent to VND 278.3 million when converted to Vietnamese currency at the current exchange rate.
