In the Korean market, the Kia Seltos 2023 is priced from 20.62 – 26.85 million Won (368 – 479 million VND).

On July 14, 2022, Kia officially unveiled the upgraded version of their Seltos line at the Busan International Motor Show 2022. Now, Kia Seltos 2023 has been announced specifications in the Korean market.

True to rumors, this B-class SUV has changed significantly in terms of engine. Specifically, Kia Seltos 2023 has a new 2.0L, naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine, combined with an IVT. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 149 horsepower and maximum torque of 179 Nm, similar to Hyundai Kona. According to Kia, this combination of engine and gearbox not only helps save gas but also smooth gearshift. The engine consumes an average of 12.9 km/liter of gasoline (or 7.75 liters/100 km).

In addition to the new petrol engine, Kia Seltos 2023 in the Korean market also retains an engine from the old version. This is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.6L petrol engine, producing a maximum capacity of 198 horsepower and maximum torque of 265 Nm. Compared to before, this engine is 21 horsepower more powerful and combined with a new 8-speed automatic transmission instead of the old 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The average fuel consumption of this engine increased slightly to 12.8 km/liter (about 7.8 liters/100 km).

Meanwhile, the 1.6L 4-cylinder diesel engine, producing a maximum capacity of 136 horsepower and maximum torque of 320 Nm, is no longer used for the Kia Seltos 2023. At the same time, this B-size SUV does not have a hybrid version as rumored.

Not only does it have a new engine and gearbox, the 2023 Seltos has also increased slightly in size. Accordingly, the car has a length of 4,390 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,600 mm and a wheelbase of 2,630 mm. Compared that sold in Vietnam, this B-class SUV is 75mm longer, 45mm lower, and the wheelbase has increased by 20mm.

Even the exterior design of the new Kia Seltos has been significantly improved. Accordingly, the car is equipped with a new grille, placed lower than the old version, and a different 2-level light system. Its daytime positioning LED strip is inspired by the design of the star map, surrounding the headlights. In addition, these lights are deeply embedded in the grille. The area below the front of the car has a larger central air cavity than before. A new ox horn panel and vertical LED fog lights are located in the glossy black cavity.

Meanwhile, the side profile of the Kia Seltos 2023 is almost the exact same, except for the new wheel rims. In the high-end version, the car will use 18-inch rims.

Round the back, we will encounter a new taillight cluster with a design also inspired by the star map. The rear lights of the car are now connected by a strip of lights in the middle instead of being separated as before. Besides, there is a new rear bumper, reflectors are placed in the same cavity with reverse lights and a larger silver underbody panel.

Particularly, the Gravity version of Kia Seltos 2023 will have dark exterior details such as the grille, ox horn panels on the front bumper, rearview mirror covers, and 18-inch alloy wheels with a 5-double-spoke design. This design makes the Gravity version look stronger.

Similar to the exterior, the interior of the Kia Seltos 2023 is renewed with 1-color or 2-color leather materials, 2 inter-connected 10.25-inch screens located independently on the dashboard in a style of luxury cars. The central air-conditioning vents are miniaturized and separated from the engine start button.

In particular, the car also switched to using a new gearshift knob instead of the traditional gear lever, making the center console neater. The other change is the 2-layer soundproofing glass, providing a quieter interior for this B-class SUV.

The next highlight of Kia Seltos 2023 is safety equipment. Specifically, the car is equipped with a new 360-degree camera and a new side-view camera. This is the first B-class SUV in the Korean market to have this safety equipment. There are other safety features such as collision avoidance support when reversing or intelligent remote parking support.

In Korea, the price of Kia Seltos 2023 will range from 20.62 – 26.85 million Won (368 – 479 million VND). After Korea, this B-class SUV will continue to be launched in other markets, including Vietnam.
