From April 2023, the Korean 7-seater SUV gets additional safety features, 2nd row heating, and a new interior color.
Specifically, the Sorento models of the 6- and 7-seat Signature versions will have some additional features of safety and brown interior color option in addition to the current black color. Accordingly, the ADAS technology package on the Sorento is added two more features: BCA blind spot warning and cross-traffic warning when RCCA reversing.
In particular, the BCA feature will display a warning on the rearview mirror when detecting a vehicle moving in the blind spot area, an audible warning if the driver continues to change lanes, and automatically assist braking if it detects the risk of colliding with another vehicle.
With RCCA, when reversing, the system issues a warning on the mirrors when it detects a crossing vehicle, and also assists in braking when the radar detects a possible collision.
In the new upgraded version, the Kia Sorento Signature version adds a brown-toned interior option. The steering wheel is changed with 2 tones. Before that, all Sorento models had only black interiors. In the Signature version, the addition of heating feature in 2nd row, expected to bring more comfort and convenience to users when moving in low-temperature area.
With the above equipment, Sorento is currently one of the most technologically capable SUVs in the segment. The car has a 12.3-inch LCD screen, integrated with a side camera image display. The 10.25-inch central entertainment screen refines a variety of features according to needs, 12-speaker Bose sound system, ADAS driver assistance technology package … are outstanding features that help Sorento convince Vietnamese customers.
This month, Kia Vietnam launched incentives of up to 100 million VND for Sorento buyers, depending on the version. Kia Sorento 2.2D Signature AWD 7-seater is the version that receives the highest level with selling price after discount of VND 1,219 billion.
In Vietnam, Kia Sorento is the 7-seater family SUV model with the most options in the segment with 14 versions, starting price (after incentives) from VND 1,094 billion to VND 1,649 billion (VAT included).
