On March 30, Lamborghini announced that it appointed S&S Automotive as the new distributor of the Italian supercar brand, replacing the old unit CT Wearnes. The company has not responded to information on the reason for ending cooperation with CT Wearnes.

New distributor S&S Automotive said that Lamborghini’s new showroom is under construction and is expected to go into operation in the second quarter, meaning customers will soon be able to view and make orders at the same time. It is unclear which product will be the first model to appear. Showrooms of the brand, and also McLaren’s, are located in District 1, Ho Chi Minh city. The Rolls-Royce showroom is also at the city center when it is located on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, opposite the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Aside from the new showroom, S&S Automotive said it had put into operation a service workshop on Cong Hoa st., Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. This is also a place to repair and maintain genuine Rolls-Royce cars. Customers who bought Lamborghini units under the old distributor still enjoy genuine warranty and maintenance regimes even when the Italian brand has a new distributor in Vietnam.

Lamborghini is the first supercar company to set foot in Vietnam in 2014. Lamborghini’s first showroom was based in Hanoi but discontinued in 2018. Then Lamborghini reopened a new showroom in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2020, also through the old distributor.

By the beginning of 2021, vehicle import activities have almost stopped and have not yet recovered. CT Wearnes’ showroom complex in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City restructured its organization when the company stopped distributing Renault (from France) and Lamborghini cars. The Lamborghini brand logo in the showroom had been removed. Aside from the aforementioned, CT Wearnes also distributes genuinely for 3 brands: Bentley, Aston Martin for cars and Ducati for motorcycles.

Lamborghini with its muscular, aggressive design has been the favorite choice of Vietnamese enthusiasts since 2007. Popular supercars such as Gallardo SE, LP570-4 Superleggera, Murcielago LP640, LP670-4 SV, Aventador LP700- 4, Aventador S started appearing throughout time. The number of genuine cars sold on the market is not announced by the old distributor. However, the quantity is approximated to be less than 20 units in more than 6 years of presence in Vietnam.
