Built on the GA-F body-on-frame platform, the Lexus GX 2024 offers a double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. The vehicle is equipped with an electronic power steering system to enhance the driving experience on both roads and rough terrains. Customers have the option of an adaptive suspension system.

Initially, Lexus introduced the GX 550 version, powered by a 3.4-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with 349 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the vehicle has a towing capacity of 3,629 kg for the standard hook type. It features all-wheel drive 4WD with a Torsen limited-slip center differential. The new GX offers faster switching between 4H and 4L compared to the previous generation GX.

This new engine replaces the GX 460 2022, which was equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine producing 301 horsepower and 446 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The towing capacity of the GX 460 is 2,426 kg.

The exterior of the GX 2024 boasts a more muscular and square design compared to its predecessor. It features the stylized Lexus signature spindle grille and an upright windshield. The vehicle comes in six equipment packages, including Premium, Premium+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+. The Premium Overtrail package offers black accents on the fenders, aluminum undercarriage, 18-inch rims with 33-inch tires, a downhill support system, 3D screens for off-roading, and an electronic dynamic suspension system. The Overtrail+ version is equipped with special seats and a massage function.

While the exterior emphasizes strength, the interior focuses on luxury. The new generation GX features a 12.3-inch digital clock cluster (replacing the analog clock with LCD in the old version) and a new 14-inch entertainment touch screen (compared to the current 10.3-inch) that supports wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The gearshift and differential operation buttons are located behind the gearshift paddles on the center console, and there is an optional heads-up display (HUD) for the steering wheel.

The interior is available in two configurations, accommodating either six or seven seats. It showcases leather seats, high-quality wood paneling, and standard heated and ventilated front seats, with optional amenities for the second row.

According to Motor1, the Lexus GX sold 29,945 units in 2022, representing a 7.9% decrease compared to the 32,509 units sold in 2021.

In the Vietnamese market, the Lexus GX is available in the GX 460 version, priced at 5.97 billion VND.
