Lexus RX 2023 is a luxury car in the mid-size SUV/Crossover segment. According to dealerships, the car is expected to be launched soon in Vietnam from January 2023.  

For its successor version, the RX line will have 4 versions: RX 350 Premium, RX 350 Luxury, RX 350 F Sport, and RX 500h F Sport Performance. Expected prices are 3.43 billion, 4.33 billion, 4.72 billion, and 4.94 billion VND, respectively.

Currently, dealers have stopped selling and accepting orders for the old version of the Lexus RX. Customers can switch to ordering the RX 2023. If there’s no longer needs for the previous version, dealers will return deposits. The car will be delivered to customers in Vietnam in the first half of next year.

The fifth-generation Lexus RX features an all-new design, additional technology, and a plug-in hybrid engine option. Compared to the previous generation, the car has a larger overall size, with a wheelbase increased by 60 mm. Therefore, the model gives the car a more spacious and comfortable interior space.

Lexus RX 2023 has a modern, eye-catching appearance, designed inspired by electric cars with a low grille. On the two sides are new headlights, integrated with the familiar “L”-shaped daytime positioning LED strip; right below is a vertical air vent with glossy black border and integrated front fog lights. Standard 19 or optional 21-inch alloy wheels are available.

At the rear of the car, the “L” logo has been removed to replace it with the words ” LEXUS “. The all-new GA-K chassis, like ES and NX, is stiffer and 89.8 kg lighter than the previous version. The upgraded multi-link rear suspension provides smoother operation.

In terms of interior, the car has a design similar to the new generation NX, including a digital dashboard and the new generation Lexus Interface infotainment system, with a 9.8-inch touch screen on the front panel of standard version or a 14-inch on premium versions. This monitor has support for a cloud-based navigation system, a virtual assistant feature, and software updates over WiFi.

Regarding safety technology, the RX 2023 is equipped with the new Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 active safety package with features such as: active brake assist, pedestrian, motorcycle detection, and collision avoidance assistance at intersections, lane keeping assist, adaptive headlights/beams…

In terms of transmission, the Lexus RX 2023 uses a new 2.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 275 horsepower and maximum torque of 429 Nm. The machine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive or full-time 4-wheel drive. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 7.2 seconds, 0.7 seconds faster than before.

Particularly in the high-end version, the RX 500h F Sport Performance uses a 2.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission, combined with an electric motor, for a capacity of 367 horsepower and max torque of 550Nm. The car only needs 5.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 – 96 km/h.

Lexus RX returns to Vietnam, promising that the mid-size SUV/Crossover segment will become more exciting with popular names such as Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90.
