The Vietnam Register recently posted information about the locally assembled versions of Toyota Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio.

Accordingly, Toyota Avanza Premio has dimensions length x width x height of 4,395 x 1,730 x 1,700 mm, wheelbase 2,750 mm, total weight 1,705 kg, and 16-inch wheels.

Meanwhile, the Toyota Veloz Cross has dimensions of 4,475 x 1,750 x 1,700 mm, a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, and a total weight of 1,735 kg. 16-inch wheels are on the standard version and 17 inches on the high-end version.

Both MPV models are equipped with a 2NR-VE 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, with a capacity of 105 horsepower and maximum torque of 138 Nm.

Thus, locally assembled Veloz and Avanza have similar parameters to the imported Indonesian version. Previously, the Toyota representative at the VMS 2022 exhibition also confirmed that the assembled car did not change features and equipment compared to the imported version.

Currently, Toyota has not announced the official selling price of the assembly. But according to some sources, the price of the car has not changed. However, car buyers will be extended warranty for 2 years or 50,000 km (whichever comes first).

Veloz and Avanza are two strategic models of Toyota in Vietnam market. In particular, Veloz is currently very popular with consumers. From its launch in March to the end of November, 12,876 Veloz units have been sold in the market, ranking second in the small popular MPV segment. Therefore, the company’s move to assemble these two models is a right move to proactively supply products, thereby increasing competitiveness with the “king” of the Mitsubishi Xpander segment.
