Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 will be officially launched at the GIIAS 2022 exhibition in Indonesia on August 11.

Mitsubishi Xpander upgraded version was officially launched in Southeast Asia in November last year. However, at the time, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross – the MPV hybrid SUV version of this model – did not apply the same upgrades. But now, new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 has been scheduled to launch.

Accordingly, the new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross will be officially launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2022 taking place this August. However, Mitsubishi has already released a short video, revealing the exterior and interior design of this SUV-style MPV. Through which, it can be seen that the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 is applied with a new design similar to the latest Xpander.

Accordingly, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 is also equipped with a 2-level lighting system at the front. Located above is a new LED daytime running light strip, connected to 2 chrome-plated braces to create an “X” shape. Meanwhile, the car’s headlight cluster is located below and has a new horizontal “T” shape.

In addition, the grille is larger than before and painted in glossy black, with the Mitsubishi logo in the middle. Below the grille is a new front bumper, with a wide central air cavity and rectangular fog lights instead of being round like the old version.

On the side, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 is equipped with a new set of wheels with a 5 double-spoke design. New wheels make this MPV hybrid SUV look even more impressive. Meanwhile, the ribbed line and roof of the car are unchanged.

The video released by Mitsubishi does not show the rear design of the new Xpander Cross. However, leaked images from industrial design registration documents show that the car has a new rear bumper with rectangular reflectors similar to the front fog lights. The rear light cluster of the car has not changed.

Not only changing the appearance, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 also upgraded the interior of the car. Inside, there is a new steering wheel, similar to the one used for the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. In addition, it also has a digital dashboard and a new wireless smartphone charger. The infotainment screen of the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 is seemingly unchanged. The reason is that at the end of last year, the car was upgraded to a 9-inch touch screen.

Air-conditioning system of the car will come with an LCD display screen and a scroll button like the 2022 version. Other changes include electronic handbrake, new automatic temporary brake-hold feature, larger phone holder, spacious storage space on the door, USB Type A/Type C ports, cup holders in the armrests for the second row, and increased ground clearance up to 220 mm of the 2022 version will also be applied to the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023.

Predictably, the engine of the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 is not new. The car will still use a 4-cylinder petrol engine, 1.5L capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 105 horsepower and maximum torque of 141 Nm. This engine combines with a new CVT, an 8-speed simulator, or a 5-speed manual transmission.

Currently, the price of Mitsubishi Xpander Cross 2023 has not been revealed. Meanwhile, the 2022 version of the car is priced from 300,950,000 – 326,750,000 Rupiah (about 472 – 513 million VND) in the Indonesian market.
