BMW has just introduced the iX1 fully electric model, equipped with 4-wheel drive system.

BMW has officially announced the new X1 generation to the global media. In particular, for this launch, the German automaker revealed the all-electric BMW iX1 for the first time. This is also BMW’s only AWD electric vehicle to date.

In terms of overall design, the BMW iX1 is similar to the traditional petrol and diesel versions. The decorative detail on the head section simulates a large kidney-shaped heat grille, full LED lighting with familiar hook-shaped positioning lights. The stylized L-shaped taillights make the rear end look more modern.

The difference between iX1 and other X1 versions lies in some blue accents. Designers don this color in the grille border, front and rear bumper, and side panels.

BMW iX1 uses two electric motors with a 64.7 kWh battery pack lying flat on the floor. These engine gives a total maximum capacity of 313 horsepower and maximum torque of 494Nm. The car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 180km/h.

According to the German automaker, BMW iX1 has a combined power consumption of 17.3-18 kWh per 100km. This means the car can travel 413 to 438km on a full charge. If using a 130kW DC fast charger, the 10-80% battery charge time is 29 minutes, or a 10-minute charge can operate for 120km. In addition, the vehicle also supports standard charging with 11-22kW single-phase and three-phase AC power.

Currently, the BMW iX1 is only distributed in the European market. In addition, customers here can also choose other versions.

The X1 sDrive18i is equipped with I3 gasoline engine, 1.5L capacity, for a capacity of 136 horsepower and 230Nm of torque, front-wheel drive.

In the X1 xDrive23i version with I4 petrol engine, 2.0L mild-hybrid, the car produces 204 horsepower and 320Nm of torque, 4-wheel drive.

xDrive18d version has a 2.0L diesel engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower and 360Nm of torque.

Currently, the selling price and time of appearance at dealers of this model have not been announced. It is likely that the car will appear at the end of the year in the European market, then in some other markets.
