It is likely that Ford Everest 2022 will enter Vietnamese market in the third quarter, along with the new Ranger.
On February 17th, on the official fanpage of Ford Vietnam, a short video revealed the launch time of the new generation Everest. Accordingly, Ford Everest 2022 will officially launch to the global market on March 1 in an online event.
Currently there is little information regarding the new generation Ford Everest. This mid-size SUV will continue to be developed on the basis of the platform of the Ford Ranger 2022 pickup.
Through the video released by Ford not long ago, it can be seen that Everest 2022 has many design details similar to the new Ranger, especially in the front area. Here, we will encounter a new “C”-shaped LED headlight cluster, surrounded by a strip of LED daytime running lights. In the middle of the headlights is a new grille, divided by double spokes with the Ford logo.
In addition, Toyota Fortuner’s opponent also has a more “muscular” front bumper. It comes with a wide license plate frame and central air cavity. Then come the small fog lamp sockets in the two corners of the front bumper, the bonnet and the flat roof.
Meanwhile, the side design is quite neat, with a large footstool and square fenders, giving the car a more solid appearance. Behind, this mid-sized SUV is supplemented with a completely new rear design with “C”-shaped LED taillights. That’s not to mention the all-new tailgate and triangular reflective light socket.
The inside of Ford Everest 2022 is expected to be similar to the new Ranger. Ford will refresh a number of details in the car such as the gearshift knob on the center console, steering wheel and digital dashboard. It is likely that the car is also equipped with a new 12-inch vertical central screen, serving the SYNC 4 infotainment system like the Ford Ranger 2022.
It will not be surprising if the engine of the Ford Everest 2022 is also carried over from the new Ranger. Currently, Ford Ranger 2022 has 4 engine options. The first is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. The second is a 4-cylinder diesel engine, single turbocharger or twin turbocharger, 2.0L capacity. Finally, there is a V6 diesel engine, turbocharged, powerful 3.0L capacity.
Unfortunately, the specifications of these engines have not been specifically announced by Ford. The engine will be mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission or a new 6-speed manual transmission.
It is possible that Ford Everest 2022 will launch in Vietnam in the third quarter of this year along with the new Ranger.
