Porsche Vietnam has recently introduced the new Cayenne to the market, marking the arrival of the 3rd generation of this luxury SUV. The upgrade encompasses various aspects, including the chassis, interior design, and engine, all aimed at enhancing the driving experience.

In terms of appearance, while the new Cayenne retains much of its previous design, there are notable highlights. This includes the optional LED matrix headlight cluster, providing a range of lighting styles tailored to different driving conditions with automatic brightness adjustments. The bonnet also features a new design, and the LED taillight cluster is seamlessly integrated across the width of the vehicle. Additionally, Porsche now offers three new paint colors and a selection of 20–22-inch rims.

Inside, the focus is on delivering an immersive driving experience, characterized by what Porsche refers to as the “digital cockpit”. The dashboard design is inherited from the Taycan, featuring a curved 12.6-inch digital display with various customizable options behind the steering wheel. There is also an optional HUD (head-up display). In the center, a 12.3-inch entertainment screen supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and comes preloaded with Spotify and Apple Music applications.

For the first time, Porsche has equipped the Cayenne with a 10.9-inch screen exclusively for front-seat passengers. This screen displays performance data, offers private access, and functions as part of the infotainment system. The new gear lever cluster, similar to that of the Taycan, is positioned between the dashboard and the entertainment screen.

The new steering wheel, borrowed from the Porsche 911, includes an integrated Drive Mode selector, allowing for rapid selection of various driving modes like Normal, Off-road, Sport, and Sport Plus. Additionally, the new Cayenne features an upgraded air quality control system.

In terms of driving enhancements, Porsche has integrated features such as an active speed limiter, emergency steering assist, cornering assist, and an adaptive cruise control system.

Another notable upgrade is the chassis, now equipped with a new two-valve suspension system. While in some markets this is an optional feature, in Vietnam it comes as standard equipment.

The new Cayenne offers three engine options. The standard Cayenne features a 3.0 V6 engine, delivering 348 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm, an increase of 12 horsepower and 50 Nm compared to the previous model. The Cayenne S is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine, generating 467 horsepower and a maximum torque of 600 Nm, an increase of 33 horsepower and 50 Nm compared to the previous version.

The most advanced version, the Cayenne Turbo GT, is powered by a 4.0 V8 twin-turbo engine, producing a remarkable 649 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 305 km/h, whereas the Cayenne S achieves this in 4.7 seconds.
