The 2023 Honda BeAT scooter has received an update in the Malaysian market, featuring a new color option and a slightly increased starting price of RM 5,990. The new color available is yellow, while the previous colors of red, blue, and black are still offered. The scooter will be available at Boon Siew Honda dealers in Malaysia starting from June 30, 2023. It is possible that the new color version will also be introduced by private importers in Vietnam to cater to domestic consumers.

The engine of the 2023 BeAT remains unchanged, featuring a 108.2cc single-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 8.67 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.53 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It is equipped with a CVT gearbox and belt, which are standard for scooters in this popular class.

The BeAT comes with 14-inch wheels, with front and rear tires measuring 80/90 and 90/90, respectively. It is equipped with a single hydraulic disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. While ABS is not available, the scooter features Honda’s combined braking system, which helps balance the braking force effectively. The front suspension is a telescopic fork, and the rear suspension is a non-adjustable single shock absorber.

With a fuel tank capacity of 4.2 liters and an under-seat storage compartment of 11.7 liters, the BeAT offers practical storage options. It has a lightweight of 90 kg and a seat height of 742 mm, providing easy maneuverability. The scooter features both a kick-start and an electric starter for convenient starting.
