The Japanese automaker chose Indonesia Auto Show 2023 to introduce the new Nissan Magnite for this country, which is also its first market in Southeast Asia. Magnite is in the small high ground clearance segment, competing with its rivals such as Kia Sonet , Toyota Raize , Daihatsu Rocky.

Nissan positions Magnite below Kicks. The car has dimensions of length x width x height respectively at 3,994 x 1,758 x 1,572 (mm) and a wheelbase of 2,501 mm. This size is smaller than Kia Sonet (4,120 x 1,790 x 1,642) and Toyota Raize (4,030 x 1,710 x 1,605). Meanwhile, the wheelbase of Magnite is almost equivalent to Sonet 2,500 mm and Raize 2,525 mm.

Magnite 2023 is equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, with a power of 98.6 hp, maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2,800-3,600 rpm. The model has options of 5MT manual or automatic CVT and front wheel drive.

Equipments on the Upper standard version includes LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, ABS / EBD / BA brakes, support for hill start assist control, smart lock, start stop smart key, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, manual air conditioning, 7-inch digital dash and 8-inch touch screen for the entertainment system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is supported.

Meanwhile, the high-end Premium version has the same features as standard one but adds dual tone alloy wheels, car rear view monitor screen, TPMS sensors, rear A/C vents in back seats and cruise control.

Nissan Magnite 2023 has the price of 18,800 USD for the Upper version and 20,000 USD for Premium version in the Indonesian market. While Kia Sonet has that of 14,800-22,600 USD, Toyota Raize has that of 15,300-18,500 USD.
