Sharing at the receiving ceremony, businessman Hoang Anh also revealed that he dreamed of owning Porsche’s first overall winning car at the Paris-Dakar Rally 1984 even though this is not a commercial car. When Porsche learned that Porsche would put the inspiration of this race into the development of the new variant of the 911 series, the customer did not hesitate to order the off-road version of the iconic car very early. He insists that this particular edition fits all the values he is looking for in a road friend for his next journey.

The most highlight feature of the Porsche 911 Dakar is the ground clearance that is 50mm higher than the sports suspension of the 911 Carrera. The standard underbody lifting system can raise the front and rear of the car by 30mm.

Custom-developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres make the Porsche 911 Dakar operate well even on difficult terrain with high cutting resistance. Off-road tires are equipped as standard and provide mobility for the sports car on both asphalts.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is equipped with a 6.3-liter twin-turbocharged 0-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 480 hp and a maximum torque of 570 Nm. This model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, can reach a maximum speed of 240 km/h when using mixed tyres.

The engine is equipped with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and Porsche full-time all-wheel drive as standard. Basic equipment also includes rear-wheel steering, engine racks similar to the 911 GT3 and Porsche Active and Anti-Roll Chassis Control (PDCC). The combination of these factors makes the 911 Dakar active on a variety of terrains such as sand, rough roads or as on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

In terms of interior design, the Porsche 911 Dakar emphasizes its sports car identity with the standard equipment of Bucket Seat and the removal of the rear seats.

Porsche also offers optional equipment packages exclusive to the 911 Dakar. The Rallye Design upgrade package offers 2 tones of white and blue (White/Gentian Blue Metallic) for the first time for a commercial vehicle. The set of red and gold metallic racing stamps is trademark registered “Roughroads” on 2 sides of the door emphasizing the impressive off-road ability of the model. Customers can also choose from 0 to 999. Additionally, the vehicle has a set of white wheels, red taillight strips, Race-Tex racing seat leather, matte blue seat belts …

There is also a historic Decorative Stamp Pack modeling the cars that participated in the East African Rally Safari format in 1971, 1974 and 1978. Instead of just offering upgrades according to the personality or preferences of the owner, this upgrade package is built according to each historical milestone, to honor the glorious victories of Porsche models in world-famous races.

In Vietnam, 911 Dakar has a standard selling price from 15.29 billion VND.
