PREVIEW OF THE DESIGN OF THE NEW GENERATION MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER: CHANGES TO COMPETE WITH HYUNDAI SANTA FE AND KIA SORENTO

Despite its weaknesses, the Mitsubishi Outlander is still considered one of the most attractive SUVs on the market.

The new generation launching next February promises to overcome the existing setbacks of Outlander and be equipped with an exterior more impressive than ever. Last week, we saw both the official teaser image and the leaked photo of this mid-sized SUV. Basically, the Outlander design is derived from the Engelberg Tourer concept and the final version generally does not lack the sharpness of the previous gen. The front uses a shield-shaped radiator supports with separate front lights proportions: the headlights are separated into a lower cluster while the daytime running lights are connected to upper rim of the radiator support.

The size of Outlander will be further expanded to facilitate the third row’s design. The chassis and car engines using 99% which take from the Nissan X-Trail – the SUV model that has just been updated the new version in 2020 by the partner in the alliance

Particularly, some special markets such as Russia or the Middle East will use V6 petrol version, the international market is only supplied with the 2.5L version and the rechargeable hybrid version.

Mitsubishi Outlander 2020 will officially launch in February 2021 and a global launch schedule starting from mid-year.
