A private import motorcycle dealer is offering Honda Vario 160 at VND 51.9 million for CBS and VND 57.4 million for ABS. This reduction is given in the context Honda Vietnam introducing genuine Vario 160 on December 22.
Thus, the new price is 1.1 – 2.1 million VND lower than in early December (54 – 58.5 million VND), and significantly lower than when the new Honda Vario 160 arrived in Vietnam (75-80 million VND). The new price is only slightly higher than the Vario 125 2022, currently priced at 49.9 – 53 million.
Honda Vario 160 continuously reduces prices partly because many believe that the new design is bulky, no longer neat, flexible, or eye-catching like its predecessor Vario 150, leading to a decrease in demand. Moreover, in the past, Honda Vario also had the advantage of a 150cc engine option that was not available on the Air Blade. In 2019, Honda Air Blade assembled in Vietnam was added with a 150cc engine option, then upgraded to a 160cc engine, causing Vario’s market share to shrink.
In the new generation, Honda Vario 160 receives many valuable upgrades. The front headlights have been joined closer; the navigation lights still have the shape of a bird’s wings but cut shorter. Plastic covers on both sides are extended backwards.
Some notable technologies include smart locks, digital dashboards, Full-LED light, and front wheel ABS.
Honda Vario 160 uses a 4-valve eSP+ engine with a capacity of 160 cc, producing 15.4 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. This parameter is almost equivalent to the Air Blade 160 model launched in May.
