Recalls have been made for 2 vehicles Bentley Continental GT, GT Convertible and Flying Spur to replace water pumps for affected vehicles.

This recall follows the recall program No. RE23/02 of Bentley factory, imported and distributed by CT – Wearnes Vietnam Co., Ltd. The total number of recalled vehicles in Vietnam market is 2 vehicles, manufactured from June 15^th, 2018, to July 10^th, 2020.

Estimated inspection and repair time is 0.8 hours per vehicle. The recal; program begins on May 15^th, 2023, and is scheduled to end on May 15^th 2024.

According to the announcement of the Vietnam Register, on the affected vehicles, the water pump unit can cause fluid from the cooling water system to seep into the circuit board and connector, causing a short circuit, thermal damage outside the coolant pump or thermal damage to the wiring set causing a vehicle fire.

It was determined that the water pumping unit could create a vacuum in the electrical system area of the pump, creating a pressure difference, resulting in fluid from the cooling water system being able to seep through the pump housing into the circuit board and connector.

This is a probable and very dangerous phenomenon; thus, the Vietnam Register recommends that customers quickly bring their vehicles to an authorized Bentley dealer for inspection and replacement of water pumps under the above recall program to ensure the vehicle is always in good condition for use. Processing costs will be completely free for customers.

For vehicles imported by diplomatic routes, gifts, but included in the affected vehicle books, will still be inspected and replaced completely free of charge.
