March of 2022 registers the impressive growth of VinFast Fadil and Hyundai Grand i10, while Honda Brio and Toyota Wigo declines steeply.

The consumption of class A cars in Vietnam in March increased sharply compared to the previous month. Specifically, sales reached 4,650 units, an increase of 84% compared to February (2,527 units). In which, there is a significant contribution from VinFast Fadil and Hyundai Grand i10.

After a month losing the top position to the Hyundai Grand i10, VinFast Fadil quickly regained its top position thanks to a spectacular growth, 4 times higher than in February 2022. Accordingly, the total number of VinFast Fadil cars sold in March reached 2,567 units and accumulated from the beginning of the year reached 4,665 vehicles.

VinFast Fadil’s March sales is an unexpected result, because this model has never been upgraded and will be discontinued by the end of this year. Despite so, VinFast Fadil is still in the first place not only in the A-class car segment, but also in the entire Vietnamese automobile market.

This model scores more customers thanks to its youthful design, outstanding overall size in the segment and relatively spacious interior. Notable amenities on the car include a 7-inch entertainment screen, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connectivity and a 6-speaker audio system.

VinFast Fadil owns a 4-cylinder in-line engine, with a capacity of 1.4L, producing a maximum capacity of 98 horsepower and maximum torque of 128 Nm. Coupled with the engine is a CVT gearbox, providing a smooth and quiet driving experience.

Fadil’s safety system is a big plus, outperforming competitors when fully equipped with technologies such as ABS/EBD brakes, ESC, Hill Start Assist, ROM… In addition, in the high-end version, VinFast Fadil also has a reverse camera and reverse sensor.

The listed price of VinFast Fadil cars ranges from 425 to 499 million VND, more expensive than competitors in the same segment. Honda Brio ranked 4th with 262 units sold this month, downed by 12.1% compared to February. Compared to its rivals, Honda Brio proved not to be inferior in terms of exterior and interior design. convenient. Even this model is highly appreciated for its quality, design, and engine performance. The price of Honda Brio is listed from 418 to 454 million VND for its versions. This price is quite high compared to most cars in the A-class car segment. Also, Honda Brio also has fewer versions than competitors, the difference in price is mainly due to exterior color.

Toyota Wigo: 86 cars
