In addition to domestically produced models, many imported scooters are currently discounted to around 30 million VND.
The Honda BeAT is a compact scooter model imported from Indonesia. Previously, this model was consistently priced at around 37-38 million VND. However, recent surveys at some import agents indicate that the current price for the line is around 30 million VND.
The BeAT shares some similarities with Honda Vision, which is officially distributed in Vietnam, but it features a more angular design. It is equipped with a 108cc single-cylinder eSP engine block, air-cooled, and utilizes PGM-FI electronic fuel injection. This engine produces a maximum power of 8.85 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
LED headlights are present on the BeAT, although other lights remain incandescent. The instrument cluster combines analog and partial LCD displays. Notably, the scooter continues to use a mechanical key, although the latest version incorporates an integrated Idling Stop feature.
Also imported from Indonesia, the Yamaha Mio M3 boasts a compact sporty appearance characterized by its large prominent headlights. The scooter features a full analog clock and retains a conventional mechanical key.
The Mio M3 is powered by an air-cooled 125cc BlueCore engine, delivering a maximum power of 9.3 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, and a peak torque of 9.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
Storage convenience is provided by two compartments at the front of the scooter, along with a generously spacious compartment under the saddle. The vehicle is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drums. It employs a telescopic front shock absorber and a spring shock absorber in the rear for enhanced stability during operation.
The Yamaha Gear 125 is a compact scooter model characterized by a youthful design suitable for both men and women. It is imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from Indonesia, offering an affordable price point for a wide range of users.
Equipped with a BlueCore 125cc engine, the scooter features air-cooling and electronic fuel injection. It delivers a maximum power of 7.0 kW at 8,000 rpm, along with a peak torque of 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
The Gear 125 comes with an analog clock, a mechanical key, and a storage compartment featuring a convenient charging port for mobile devices. Safety is addressed through front disc brakes and rear mechanical brakes. The vehicle’s stability during operation is further ensured by a front telescopic shock absorber and a rear spring shock absorber.
