The concept model is a preview of the new generation Swift to be introduced at the 2023 Japanese auto show from October 26.

The 2024 Swift concept, unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 (formerly Toyota Motor Show), marks the arrival of the 4th generation, set to supplant the current 3rd generation. Suzuki has crafted this new iteration of the Swift with a sharp focus on delivering an enhanced driving experience.

According to Suzuki representative Shunichi Ito, the design of the Swift concept is forward-looking. The exterior features distinctive lines that run along the body, just above the door handle. Additionally, the rear handle has been repositioned to its traditional location, departing from its concealment in column C as seen in the previous generation.

The bonnet showcases a fresh clamshell shape, and the LED headlight cluster sits lower. The grille is now smaller, bordered by a prominent dark chrome frame. Daytime lights are seamlessly integrated into the headlights, forming a distinctive J shape. Fog lights are discretely housed in a separate unit below the front air intake. The LED taillights have been reimagined, and the rear bumper exudes a more dynamic aesthetic.

Inside the Swift concept 2024, a new design language is evident. The floating infotainment system hosts a touch screen interface. The center console has transitioned from knobs to buttons and levers. The digital instrument cluster incorporates an integrated LCD screen that comprehensively displays vehicle information.

Although Suzuki has not disclosed specific details about the powertrain or engine of the Swift concept 2024, the current Swift is propelled by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine producing 89 horsepower and a maximum torque of 118 Nm. It employs a CVT gearbox and is configured as a front-wheel drive.

Suzuki has revealed that the new generation Swift is equipped with advanced safety technologies. These include dual-sensor brake assist II for automatic emergency braking, adaptive headlights, and a driver monitoring system.

The Japan Mobility Show 2023 is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan from October 26 to November 5.
