The third generation of BMW Z4 now only has a convertible configuration and the genuine version that are the sDrive30i with M Sport package. 

As planned, the BMW Z4 genuine edition came back in November 2020. The Z4 was imported by THACO and appeared in the warehouse of the dealer and is now ready for delivery from December. BMW Z4 will be on display before sales at the end of this November.

The codename for the third generation of the BMW Z4 is G29. This model is jointly developed with Toyota Supra. Both models used BMW’s CLAR platform.

The version distributed in Vietnam is Z4 sDrive30i with M Sport package. The exterior of Z4 is massive with the M Sport bodykit package. The car includes a disc wheel of M 5-spoke, 2-tone milling, size 19 inch. LED system headlamps. LED Stop light.

The first cars seen in dealers had a dazzling interior color which contrasts the exterior paint. Seat leather is of Vernasca. M Sports seats are electrically adjustable. Seatbelts are also from M. This car has only 2 seats and has no back seats or any storage space in the back.

The interior of the genuine Z4 has a 10.25inch digital screen behind the steering wheel – M’s 3-spoke steering wheel. The center screen 10.25inch support Apple CarPlay wireless, control system iDrive 7.0, Harman Kardon sound, smart key, …

The engine of Z4 sDrive30i is a 2-liter turbocharger, capable of producing 255 HP and 400Nm of torque, combined with 8-speed automatic Steptronic gearbox and RWD. The convertible sportscar can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds. The highest speed limited to 250 km/h.

In Vietnam, the new generation of BMW Z4 had a high-performance version, Z4 M40i, which was imported by private enterprises. This version uses a 3-liter engine, 382 HP in capacity, 500 Nm of torque and 4-wheel drive system. The M40i edition takes 4.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.

The expected price of the genuine BMW Z4 sDrive30s M Sport is 3.319 billion VND. In this November, private enterprises had bought two cars Z4 sDrive30i M Sport with the same configuration as the genuine car. The prices for these are have not been revealed.

BMW belongs in a niche market and has almost no competitor in Vietnam. The other 2-door sports model of the same segment is Audi TT.
