In the beginning of June 2021, the price of Honda motorcycles has had significant fluctuations. Especially, scooter models like Honda SH have had a very deep discount, down to a low record with a selling price of just over 82 million VND.

Honda motorbike is one of the best-selling two-wheeled products in the Vietnamese market. Honda motorcycle models are very diverse in segments, types and prices. This is also a motorcycle with considerable fluctuations selling price in Vietnam.

According to our research at some HEAD distributors of Honda motorcycles in Hanoi, many hot models are witnessing a sharp discount. Notably, Honda SH is a line of scooters that was rarely discounted in the past.

However, according to a salesman of a Honda motorbike dealer in Le Duan, Dong Da, currently, Honda’s SH 125 and SH 150 versions are all deeply discounted. In which, the price of Honda SH 125 CBS is just over VND 82 million, the Honda SH 150 CBS has an actual price of over VND 97 million, and the SH 150 ABS has a realistic price of just over VND 109 million.

If compared with the selling price of Honda SH versions in Hanoi in previous time, it shows that these scooter models are having a record decrease in price. Especially Honda SH 150 ABS has never recorded such a low selling price. With a price range of over 109 million VND, SH 150 ABS is only 13 million VND compared to the listed price, reduce by more than 6 million VND compared to the actual price in the previous time.

According to sale staffs at this HEAD, the price of Honda SH in other dealers is not much different. At dealers, the actual selling price of Honda SH is only about 200-300 thousand VND difference.

Other scooter of Honda like Air Blade is being reduced significantly. Most of the versions have the selling price lower than previous year from hundreds VND to 4 million VND. Although the selling price of Honda SH Mode scooters is still higher than the proposed price, the actual price is also reduced by millions compared to before.

Some common models such as Honda Wave Alpha, Future Fi and Honda Vision are still unchanged. These models have tendency fluctuate up with the selling price difference of several million VND.

Particularly in the clutch motorbike segment, typically Honda Winner X has not had better price. A dealer selling Honda motorcycles in Tay Ho, Hanoi said that the Honda Winner X CBS version has been simultaneously sold off with the actual selling price of only 38.6 million VND, while the ABS version was only priced at 40 million VND. Such prices are much lower than the proposed price from 7.4-9 million VND.

Due to the significant fluctuation, it is difficult to accurately predict the selling price of Honda motorcycles in June 2021. The price of Honda motorbikes in different areas will likely depend greatly on the control of the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnam in the current period.
