Toyota Innova 2023 has a completely new design and is more SUV-oriented than MPV as before, with a price of 419-614 million Rupiah (equivalent to 662-970 million VND).
On November 21, Toyota officially introduced the new generation Innova Zenix (another name for Innova) in the Indonesian market. This is the first eco-friendly model produced in this country. Toyota Innova 2023 has 5 main versions: 2.0G, 2.0G HV, 2.0V, 2.0V HV, and 2.0Q HV, priced at 419-614 million Rupiah, equivalent to 660 – 970 million VND).
Entering a new generation, the Toyota Innova 2023 MPV is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture-C (TNGA-C) platform. Currently, the platform is being used by Toyota Corolla, Corolla Cross, and Lexus UX models.
With the use of the TNGA-C platform, the Toyota Innova 2023 is larger than the Toyota Veloz model. The use of a monolithic structure and a front-wheel drive arrangement gives the new generation Toyota Innova have a larger interior space in both the passenger and cargo compartments.
The exterior design has completely changed, bearing the look of an SUV. The front features a large trapezoidal grille, slimmer LED headlights and an aggressive front bumper. The rear taillights are placed horizontally, designed to be similar to the Rush, combined with the steeper corners of the D column.
The car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,755 x 1,850 x 1,795 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Thus, compared to the old generation, the length increased by 20 mm, the width increased by 20 mm, while the wheelbase increased by 100 mm, providing a more spacious cabin.
Moreover, increasing the wheelbase to bring the two wheels closer to the front and rear of the car also brings aesthetics. The Japanese automaker offers 3-wheel options: 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch. Ground clearance is 185mm.
At the launch ceremony in Indonesia, the new generation Toyota Innova model was revealed with 2 engine options and no diesel engine option. Specifically, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a hybrid engine (combining a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor), both of which are combined with a CVT gearbox.
Currently, the specific specifications of the engine versions have not been revealed. Rumors show that the 2.0L hybrid engine can produce a total capacity of 182 horsepower, fuel consumption of about 4.5 liters per 100 km.

Moving inside, the new generation Toyota Innova impresses with a new multi-level dashboard, a 3-spoke steering wheel with function keys and a dashboard with a multi-information screen.
In addition, notable equipment on the car is: felt seats or synthetic leather, 9-inch or 10-inch central touch screen, automatic air conditioning system. The infotainment cluster is a multi-information display that is 4.2 inches or 7 inches wide, with 4 USB Type C ports, electronic handbrake, and automatic temporary brake hold feature.
On the high-end version, the new generation Toyota Innova also has a 360-degree screen, Toyota Safety Sense driver assistance system, panoramic sunroof, and high-class interior.
With the introduction in Southeast Asia and assembly in Indonesia, it is likely that the new generation Toyota Innova multi-purpose MPV will soon be brought to Vietnam.
After Indonesia, India is the next market that will receive the new generation MPV Innova. Official launch date is on November 25.
